In 2018, I moved from a peaceful village in the Netherlands to the incredibly busy streets of South Korea. The sharp contrast between these two worlds was incredible - from the slow pace of Dutch life to the bustling energy of South Korea.

As I got used to living in Korean society, I began to notice a big change. My relaxed Dutch lifestyle was slowly being replaced by the amazing speed of South Korean life. I started walking faster. Planning ahead. All my free time became work time, and after work, I was too tired to do anything else. There was no space for me.

I saw my friends struggling with the same issues. The pressure of this competitive society led to stress, which caused numerous other problems like insomnia, anxiety, and feeling tired all the time. This shared realization motivated me to make House of Balance.

House of Balance is a life wellness brand dedicated to restoring balance in our hectic lives. To help people take control of their well-being in a world that won't do it for them. Our slogan, "Life doesn't heal itself," describes this philosophy.
